UTEC’s unique and historic building is perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, and so much more! Modern amenities, including a state-of-the-art sound system and theater lighting, complement original architectural details, such as two red-carpeted mezzanines with dramatic staircases in the Main Hall and beautiful stained glass windows in the indoor atrium.
Beautiful photo backdrops abound, both throughout the building and in front, where an outdoor green space leads to the original building entrance. Inside, the Main Function Hall is ideal for events of up to 300 people. Looking for a smaller space? Our cafe and atrium combined make an ideal setting for a wedding brunch. Or use the cafe for your cocktail hour while we transition the Main Hall from ceremony set-up to reception-ready.
With three floors and four unique spaces, we can customize a rental package for any event. We also offer in-house catering, or allow the flexibility to choose your own outside vendors. Facility rentals help allow UTEC to sustain and grow its mission and programming, both through rental revenue and by providing diverse opportunities for youth to be involved in planning, catering and staffing. And all of this happens in the world’s oldest green building! After an ambitious renovation, finished in 2012, UTEC is now the oldest LEED Platinum Certified building in the world. We take pride in our “green” features, from the solar panels on our roof to the local ingredients in our kitchen.
